This past Saturday evening, our B16 Selects02 met their goal of making it to 2017 ASA Provincials. Scoring in the opening minutes in one of the B16 CMSA cross-over playoff matches, the fellas looked sharp claiming their place as CALGARY 1 for the Provincial Finals. Well done boys! Big respects to Coaches Matt & Dave for their contributions – wouldn’t have been the same without the both of you. #SWUPROUD
We are so proud of all of our U10 teams! They have all had an exceptional season and we are so thankful for all the effort put into successful outdoor seasons. Of course, it would be impossible to do without our fantastic up & coming athletes but, we thank all coaches, managers & team supporters for continuing in helping our club grow and continue competitive spirit! A list of our medal winners from last weekend’s City Finals: Congratulations! #SWU10PROUD
Our G05 Premiers traveled to Kelowna, BC for the Canada Day Tournament and well… were placed in the top tier at U13, playing an age above in a table of 6 teams from BC and Alberta! Hitting the practice pitch late afternoon on Friday, they were all struck by the intense sunny heat that is the hallmark of the Okanagan Valley. But, the Premers have their own hallmark – hard work! They shook off the heat and focused on the task at hand. By the end of the weekend, hard work (as it always does) turned into success….
It all went down Father’s Day weekend! The GU12 Selects 05 claimed the gold medal at the KEYSA Sam Steele Tournament in Cranbrook. The fathers of the Selects team would like to take some credit as they provided a great warm-up in a Fathers vs Daughters game prior to the gold medal match! Our Selects finished the tournament undefeated & only conceded 1 goal in 4 games! Well done Selects – upward and onward! #SWUPROUD

It started with a frantic phone call from one of the team representatives as the call came into the office. Nervously, we anticipated a different kind of conversation; but once the words came out, it was high fives around the room. It was agreed that the arrangement would be kept as a surprise for the team as all of the prizes & staff would be headed our way. Fast forward two weeks. May 9th 2017, the team received a strange schedule change. Instead of heading outdoors for their session, their schedule asked them to arrive at the Calgary Soccer…
This past weekend, we hosted both UBC and UBCO Universities Soccer Head Coaches, who worked with some of our teams directly on the field. Set up by our director Ramon Mifflin, the ID camp gave an opportunity for both sides for great interaction and spotlight for the game at the university level. The feedback from our team & player skill was extremely positive. A big thanks to both schools for coming out and spending some quality time with our program. #SWUPROUD
The 05-duo from our Premiers 05G hopped on a flight out to Toronto last week to perform in the final selection stage for the Danone Cup. They will all be definite memories of a lifetime for the up & comers, that they were hand picked for the trial. Kaleigh & Nyema – well done, so proud of you both! for more information on the Danone cup – click here! #SWUPROUD #campsies
